This is the album where the loose and free wheeling experimenting was put on the back burner, in favor for a more straight ahead pop/rock/jazz identity. Quirks still found their way into the songs (the whistles in "Bumble Bee" for example). The guitar also became a more prominent instrument, but not entirely eschewing the keyboards. The end result is an effort that made the local scene sit up and take notice, and also snatch up local bassist Matt Levine as a new member.
